the things my son can get away with

So, how is it that when Corban passes gas it elicits a smiling, empathetic response from his mom. Or, when he belches after eating mom says, "good job!" Like I would ever get away with that kind of behavior!

question

What better exemplifies the love of Jesus? Driving your 17 year old neighbor to the market knowing he'll probably buy a cigar, or even ask you to buy a cigar for his "uncle". Or, refusing to give him a ride altogether. Or, is there other options?

I can tell you what I've done in the past, but I would love to hear your thoughts on the issue.

the finer things

I had a physically demanding day at work, and double-header softball game to follow. So, I took a soak in the tub with some lavender. Following that, I took the badger hair brush to my shaving soap (handmade by my mother) and lathered up some fine suds and spread them on my beard. Taking up the vintage double-edge safety razor I just inherited from my grandfather, I shaved. After a cool rinse and some non-alcohol shave balm, I took a splash of bay rum to the face. It was good, feeling relaxed, time for bed!

Good night!
